Arms Wide Open

An organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with special needs by fostering caring social environments and creating opportunities for recreation and participation in the performing arts.

Last year, SDLH was able to assist Arms Wide Open with the purchase of a new dance floor for their studio, stage equipment for their productions, and program sponsorships for families in need.

Sharp Hospice Care | Lakeview Home

The first hospice home in San Diego County operating solely to provide care and support to patients, family and friends dealing with end-of-life care.

With the money raised last year, SDLH provided financial assistance for new furniture in their Lakeview Home. This furniture will be used by family members who are visiting those in hospice care.

Sunshine Ranch Therapeutic Riding

Provides equine therapy to children and adults with special needs to help build strength, flexibility, self-control and social skills.

Last year, SDLH was able to sponsor the annual care of several horses in the program as well as other necessary equestrian supplies for their program.

Educating and empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to realize their full potential, offering programs that provide liberal arts education, practical skills development, employment and dignity for a lifetime.

With the money raised last year, SDLH provided assistance to SMSC to purchase a chair lift for their pool and upgrade other aquatics equipment.

Team Parker For Life

Inspired by one family’s on-going experience, P4Lwas created to provide support for families with children undergoing treatment for cancer, boost morale, and raise public awareness about pediatric cancer.

SDLH provided financial assistance to help several families of pediatric cancer patients in the San Diego area.
